‘It’s not practical’: Former police minister warns Chris Minns’ gun laws won’t work
Former NSW police minister David Elliot backs tougher controls on excessive gun ownership but warns Premier Chris Minns’ approach is impractical.
“There’s no reason for people to have 50 or 60 guns,” Mr Elliot told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.
“It’s not practical to have NSW have one law and Queensland and Victoria have other laws.
“My advice to Chris would be, mate, love what you’re doing; every father in the country does; however, it’s not practical.”
