IRGC ‘consolidating’ its control over Tehran’s political landscape

Sky News Defence Analyst Peter Jennings weighs in on whether the United States and the Iranian regime will participate in a second round of peace negotiations.

“The Revolutionary Guard is consolidating its grip on political power in Tehran, and they are hardening Iran’s line,” Mr Jennings told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“We are seeing a hard crew emerge as the bosses of the country seem to be more interested in fighting it out with Trump than in peace negotiations.

“I think the prospects for a second round of talks in Pakistan are looking pretty low right now.”
