Iran to use former supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s funeral as a ‘political statement’

Former US ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Marcelle Wahba discusses Iran’s funeral for former supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

“For the Iranians, right now it’s a point they’re trying to make, a sense of strength and a sense of unity,” Ms Wahba told Sky News Australia.

“It’s a political statement for what’s going on today.”
