Iran melts down, asserts Trump’s new Strait of Hormuz passage violates tense ceasefire
A top Iranian leader has claimed America’s interference with the maritime rules in the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a “violation of the ceasefire”.
The Head of Iran’s Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, posted to X and slammed the US.
“Any American interference in the new maritime regime of the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire,” Azizi wrote.
“The Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf would not be managed by Trump’s delusional posts!”
Azizi’s remarks follow US President Donald Trump’s announcement of ‘Project Freedom’, which would see ships freely and safely pass through the Strait.
