Iran and US officials expected to meet again for further peace talks amid student protests

Iran’s Foreign Minister is expecting to meet US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff this week for further peace talks.

Abbas Araghchi suggested these talks could find a resolution if the US is willing.

Mr Witkoff said the US President is surprised at the way Iran has handled the situation and curious as to why the regime hasn’t “capitulated” yet.

The news of further talks comes as students in Iran returned to the streets to protest the regime.
