‘I believe the party is stronger’: Ted O’Brien speaks on leaving deputy Liberal leader position

Outgoing Deputy Liberal Leader Ted O’Brien says he intends to not follow Sussan Ley out of government.

Mr O’Brien says the new decision today will create a “strong, effective Opposition”.

“What the Australian people will see is a very clear focus on what matters most to them,” Mr O’Brien said.

“I believe the party is stronger today because a decision has been made.”
