Harry Potter’s New Snape Backlash: Doctor Who Chief warns against “The Fan Voice”

The first trailer for HBO’s reboot of Harry Potter is out; and while it may very well debut on Paramount+ by the time it releases of David Ellison get’s his way, the lighting rod for the conversation right now is the next Snape – Because replacing the great Alan Rickman, is Paapa Essiedu, representing the one major stunt casting of this production. Unlike previous such stunt castings however, this stunt casting comes at a time in history when the audience have demonstrated time and again, by way of both TV ratings and movie tickets left unsold, that they do not approve of such stunt castings.
However, there are those in the creative community that do not approve of certain audience feedback, such as Doctor Who Boss Russel T Davies!
