‘Happy for my tax to contribute to ‘Doctor JIhad’s’ lifelong stay in supermax’: David Elliot

​Former NSW Police minister David Elliot says he “doesn’t like paying tax” but would be happy for it to go towards ‘Doctor Jihad’s’ lifelong stay in supermax.

​“It’s now a quarter of a century since the world changed after the tragedy of September 11, so it’s high time we accepted a few facts and managed this in a more strategic way, Mr Elliot told Sky News Australia.

​“Given our international obligations to allow any citizen to return to Australia and the Labor government’s passionate commitment to those obligations, we now need tougher legislation that strictly prohibits the Department of Foreign Affairs from issuing a passport to any Australian citizen charged with terrorist or treasonous wrongdoings whilst overseas.

​“No ifs, no buts, one strike and you’re out.

​”I don’t like paying tax, but I’d be happy to contribute to his lifelong stay in supermax.

​“I’m sure I’m not alone.”
