Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman reacts to Liberal MPs giving a cringeworthy tribute to late singer Dolly Parton.

“That was just a huge own goal. It’s right up there with Anika Wells,” Mr Newman told News24 host Steve Price.

“I was quite cranky when I saw that in the last few nights.

“I wish they’d get back to work.”
