Global crude oil prices hit their highest level since 2022 early on Monday—pushing gasoline prices at the pump to $3.478 per gallon—as the U.S.-Israel war on Iran showed no signs of abating and President Donald Trump suggested that this was a “small price to pay” in exchange for destroying Iran’s “nuclear threat.”
