Fresh produce prices expected to rise by 20 per cent in coming weeks

Ag Farming Systems agronomist Josh Hack weighs in on the ongoing fuel crisis and its effect on farmers.

“Yeah, look, prices have over doubled since it started,” Ms Hack told Sky News Australia.

“That’s been a challenge, we’ve been able to secure mostly fertilisers for starting the crops … definitely gone up to double the price.

“The biggest issue we’ve got going forward is the lack of information about what we are going to have in that winter period.”
