Families of Australian diplomats told to exit Middle East with Iran-US conflict ‘unpredictable’

The Australian government has told diplomats and their families to leave Lebanon and Israel as US military assets move closer to Iran.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said in a statement that the security situation in the Middle East is “unpredictable”.

US President Donald Trump says his preferred route of action is through diplomacy.
