Eight people injured in NYC July 4 shooting

Eight people, including four children, have been injured after a shooting at a 4th of July celebration near New York’s Coney Island beach.

A suspect wearing a black mask fired into a family gathered for a cookout in the courtyard of an apartment building.

New York City’s Mayor Zohran Mamdani is vowing to use all available resources to find the shooter.
