Ed Sheeran accused of ‘crocodile tears’ over Macklemore controversy

One Nation member Hollie Hughes has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Ed Sheeran’s tour after the singer dropped Macklemore and issued an on-stage apology.

“I’m so disappointed. I mean, Macklemore has a long history of political activism,” Ms Hughes told News24.

“This can’t be a shock to Ed Sheeran, since 2023 we’ve seen Macklemore out there on a pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel platform consistently.

“The fact that he’s shocked or upset by this either proves an incredible lack of due diligence or they’re just crocodile tears because there’s no way they could’ve not known that Macklemore would’ve done this.”
