Eclipse next year labelled the ‘Eclipse of the Century’ | BBC News
A total eclipse which will be seen by people in parts of southern Spain, North Africa and parts of the Middle East, on 2 August 2027 and is said to be the ‘Eclipse of the Century’.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun.
The sky darkens, and people in the right place may see the Sun’s outer atmosphere, called the corona, glowing around the Moon.
