‘Dumping ground for failed ideologies’: Pro-Palestine movement accused of scapegoating Israel

News24 host James Macpherson argues the pro-Palestine cause has become a vehicle for failed ideologies and global scapegoating of Israel.

“Having watched anti-Israel protests over the past few years, I’ve concluded that the pro-Palestine cause is the dumping ground where failed ideologies go to be reborn,” Mr Macpherson said.

“Palestine here is not so much a cause as a stage. And Israel is simply the convenient villain around which the performance can be organised.

“Seems to me like we’re watching scapegoating, on a global scale.”
