Dramatic new footage shows US missiles ripping into the night sky before raining down on military targets across Iran.

The Pentagon released the striking video as Donald Trump publicly revelled in America’s overwhelming military position in the region.

US Central Command said the latest strikes hit air defences, radar systems, maritime assets, mine-laying capabilities and communications sites.

Trump declared he now had “almost total control” of the Strait of Hormuz as Iran’s economy buckles and ceasefire talks remain frozen.

The renewed strikes mark the first major US attacks in a month, threatening to send the six-month conflict spiralling into an even wider war.
