The White House has launched “Trump TV,” a continuous stream of speeches, highlights and administration footage, just as the fight over access to President Trump reaches a new level. The launch followed Trump’s decision to bar CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, prompting CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News to suspend their rotating television-pool coverage rather than replace CNN on its assigned day. Without the normal pool crew, Trump’s remarks during the unveiling of a new White House helipad were largely inaudible over Marine One. Hours later, the administration promoted Trump TV as a 24/7 source for the president’s “biggest moments,” available through the White House YouTube channel and official app. The first broadcast featured previously recorded material, including Trump’s July 3 Mount Rushmore speech and his 2025 inauguration. Critics described it as government-controlled publicity, while the administration presented it as an unfiltered alternative to outlets it accuses of inaccurate or missing coverage. Trump TV does not replace independent reporting or mean conventional networks have permanently stopped covering the president.
