Don Lemon forced to admit Trump played CNN like a fiddle

Former CNN host Don Lemon admitted the network knew Donald Trump was driving its coverage because he delivered huge ratings.

Speaking on Trevor Noah’s podcast, Lemon said CNN executives recognised Trump was “good for business” despite the risks.

Lemon recalled media bosses embracing Trump’s dominance, echoing claims that his constant presence fuelled audience growth.

Lemon also revealed he predicted Trump’s 2016 victory after seeing him dominate newspaper front pages across every section.

Trevor Noah called Trump a “media genius”, arguing he mastered television by making networks revolve around him.
