‘Doesn’t have the guts’: Nationals slam Labor over refusal to face voters after budget
Nationals Senate Leader Bridget McKenzie says the Labor government “doesn’t have the guts” to call an election after their federal budget was handed down.
“This government didn’t have the guts to take these changes to the last election, explicitly lied about these types of changes,” Ms McKenzie said.
“Now doesn’t even have the guts to have it properly … debated in the Australian parliament.
“If he’s so convinced this is what our economy needs, this is what Australia needs, then he should have the guts to take it to an election.”
