‘Didn’t have warning’: Flash flooding hits popular Victorian holiday hotspot

Colac Otway Shire Mayor Jason Schram discusses the flood emergency unfolding in Victoria.

“We’ve clearly lost several cars, a lot of caravans and camping gear have been destroyed,” Mr Schram told Sky News Australia.

“So far, there are no reports of injury, and we are hoping it stays that way.

“People just didn’t have the time or warning to get out, and the rainfall was a heck of a lot more than what was anticipated.”
