Democrats have nothing else left as they resort to petrol price attack

Heritage Senior Advisor and Research Fellow Allen Mendenhall discusses the political outlook ahead of the November midterm elections.

“Nobody wants to see the Iranian regime in place; of course nobody’s rooting for that,” Mr Mendenhall told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“I think Americans had grown sceptical about foreign policy and adventurism, and they’d had a bad taste in their mouth after Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Politics, in one week, is like a year, so if gas prices continue to come down and inflation gets under control, we could see a lot of surprises come November … that could lean in the Republicans’ favour.

“The Democrats are basically leaning on those things … because they have nothing else. The stock markets are breaking records every single week.”
