Democrats accused of snubbing grieving parents during State of the Union tribute

Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power blasts Democrats for “refusing to stand” for the grieving parents of Iryna Zarutska during US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.

“I was deeply moved listening to Donald Trump honouring Charlie Kirk … he also honoured Iryna Zarutska, the young woman who was murdered on a train in Charlotte,” Ms Power said.

“That was just such a powerful moment, it’s really hard not to be moved by something like that, it gives me goosebumps.

“Yet some Democrats refused to stand for Iryna Zarutska’s grieving parents there, which says so much.”
