Cyberpunk in the Rippaverse? | Echoes of Cypheon #rippaverse #comics

RippaZine #6 is out, so I can finally talk about Echoes of Cypheon. This is a complete change of pace from anything I’ve written in the Rippaverse.

If you’ve followed The Great War of Separation, you know the land mass you’d recognize as the United States got fractured, and parts of it became deadzones. I wanted one of those areas to explore concepts I can’t touch in the other nation states. So Cypheon is detached, governed completely differently, with heavy corporate influence and a real cyberpunk feel, plus some elements you’d recognize from Eastern books. It’s a Frankenstein of genres and I had a great time with it.

Nylerr is the character it centers on, a nomad moving between the mini cities in that disrupted territory. Designing him with Caanan White was a lot of fun.

A lot of you are already asking for a full story out of this. I’m willing to give you that.
