‘Costly boondoggle’: Snowy Hydro 2.0 was an attempt to boost the renewable energy pipe dream

Sky News host Chris Kenny says Snowy Hydro 2.0 was an attempt to boost the “renewable energy pipe dream”.

“For years, I’ve slammed the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project, as you know, because it’s a waste of taxpayers’ money. It was announced by Malcolm Turnbull when he was prime minister, it was an attempt to boost the renewable energy pipe dream,” Mr Kenny said.

“It was always gonna be a costly boondoggle, but Turnbull wanted a place in history.”
