CNN predicts GOP will hold Senate while Dems nominate ‘nutjob’ candidates

Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney reacts to CNN predicting the Republican Party is the favourite to hold the Senate.

“These are the Democrat socialists of America; they are the far-left progressive wing of the party; in fact, they probably go beyond progressive,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host James Morrow.

“When the Democrats are nominating these nutjob left-wingers, it really is going to impact the likelihood of them having a chance to pick up the Senate.

“The Democrats are in trouble because of it, and they know it.”
