Chris Kenny breaks down Australia’s historic shift away from major parties

Sky News host Chris Kenny discusses the historic realignment in Australian politics as voters move away from the major parties.

“Politics in this country right now is in turmoil, and it’s not the normal run of the mill chaos over this issue or that, but an historical shift, a dramatic and unprecedented move away from the major parties – not just the Liberal Party and the Coalition, but from Labor too,” Mr Kenny said.

“Sure, it is only in the polls so far, and it’s real votes that count, but in South Australia and the Farrer by-election, we have seen voting patterns mirror those polls.

“On the latest polling, Labor and the Coalition between them can’t muster 50 per cent of primary support from voters.”
