China and Iran hold talks ahead of US sanctions

China and Iran have held talks ahead of the US announcing new sanctions.

The two countries met earlier in the month but have only disclosed the meeting now.

China says it supports a diplomatic end to America’s war against Iran, calling for peace talks.
