Butler announces strict quarantine plan for Aussies aboard hantavirus-stricken cruise ship
Health Minister Mark Butler has given an update on the repatriation of Australians aboard the hantavirus-stricken cruise ship.
“I can advise that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has secured a flight and a crew to repatriate those six passengers,” Mr Butler said during Question Time on Thursday.
“They have all just been tested, and that test proved negative for hantavirus.
“They will be quarantined there for three weeks. This is the strongest quarantine response in the world.”
