‘Biggest obstacle’: Iran unwilling to give up enriched nuclear material for peace deal

United States Studies Centre Honorary Associate Dr Harry Melkonian says the biggest obstacle to a US-Iran peace deal is Iran’s unwillingness to give up its enriched nuclear material.

“The problem for getting [Donald Trump] over the line is he wants all of the enriched nuclear material,” Mr Melkonian told Sky News Australia.

“Iran has not been willing to give him that.

“That is probably the biggest single obstacle.”
