Barnaby Joyce claims burqas are ‘not conducive’ for children in schools

​One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce says the burqa is not “conducive” for Australian children at school.

​“We’re talking about the burqa, we’re not talking about the hijab,” Mr Joyce told News24.

​“Many women’s groups also have big issues with it.

​“There’s nothing in the Quran which says you’ve got to wear a burqa, so don’t even believe that we’re imposing on people’s religious freedoms on this.”
