Barack Obama claims Republicans are ‘threatening’ judicial independence

Newsweek Senior Editor-At-Large Josh Hammer discusses how former US president Barack Obama had previously said that Republicans “threaten judicial independence”.

“One of the things that Barack Obama complained about … was he said that Republicans are threatening judicial independence,” Mr Hammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“He says that they [Republicans] were trying to … undermine the integrity of Hamilton’s least dangerous branch … the judiciary.”
