‘As bad as Saddam Hussein’: Outrage over plans to livestream Fort Hood shooter’s execution

Independent Women’s Forum senior fellow Qanta Ahmed discussed the planned livestream of Nidal Hasan’s execution, following his fatal shooting of 13 soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009.

“I think it’s a bad move; that’s come from Secretary Hegseth,” Ms Ahmed told News24.

“The death penalty, I’m fully supportive of, and he should’ve been executed a long time ago.

“Televising it, livestreaming it, puts us on the same level as Saddam Hussein.

“It’s great recruiting material for the next generation of radical Islamists.”
