Americans concerned with ‘increasing sense of unaffordability’ as midterms loom

Seattle University Politics Professor Patrick Schoettmer discusses the American economy adding 162,000 jobs as the midterm elections loom.

“We’ve seen a fair degree of stasis in the economy, and this positive number is the first real positive number we’ve seen,” Mr Schoettmer told News24.

“We’ve seen other months where they initially came out with a positive number, but there was a downward revision.

“I think most of the economic malaise that are driving Americans is not the ability to find a job … it’s the increasing sense of unaffordability.”
