Albanese’s Labor clings to ‘myth’ Australia can be green energy superpower

Sky News Political Contributor Chris Uhlmann urges Australia to become a “genuine energy superpower” amid the escalating conflict in Iran.

“We are a long way from feeling the full effects of this war,” Mr Uhlmann said.

“It will play out in higher fuel prices, higher inflation, shortages of the fertilisers needed to grow crops, and reduced supplies of other essential feedstocks such as sulphur and helium.

“Australia could seize this opportunity to become a genuine energy superpower, or it can continue to cling to the myth that it will be a green energy superpower.

“We can be rich, or we can be poor; the choice is ours.”
