Albanese to ‘negatively impact’ Australia’s economy with changes to CGT discount

Two former prime ministers are leading criticism against the Albanese government’s proposed changes to the capital gains tax discount.

John Howard, Scott Morrison, and Joe Hockey, all former federal treasurers, believe the move by Labor will negatively impact Australia’s economy.

Mr Howard has branded it as yet another tax slug by the Albanese government.
