Airstrike on Yemeni market leaves seven dead, dozens injured

Seven people were killed and 40 others injured in an attack on a market in Yemen.

According to Yemen’s Saudi-backed, internationally recognised government, the strike targeted a Houthi military encampment.

However, the Houthi-run health ministry reported that the attack caused civilian casualties, including children.

The strike occurred a day after Saudi Arabia stated that its air defences had intercepted two Houthi drones headed toward Riyadh.
