AFP Deputy Commissioner welcomes Labor’s gun buyback scheme as ACT joins

Australian Federal Police Deputy Commissioner Scott Lee welcomes the ACT joining the Albanese government’s gun buyback scheme, as NSW will be the first state to begin the gun buyback scheme starting November 2nd.

“It’s an important mechanism for us to ensure that we balance the lawful access to firearms in the community,” Mr Lee said.

“With the need for us to manage the public safety risk that comes with firearms.”
