A ‘rattled’ Chalmers states there’s no correlation between inflation and government spending

Former New South Wales Labor treasurer Michael Costa calls out a “rattled” Treasurer Jim Chalmers as he states the RBA didn’t say there was a “connection” between inflation and government spending.

“You can’t deny that … that’s just a technical debating point,” Mr Costa told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“But everybody else will tell you in the economy, there is a direct correlation.”
