Trump is ‘not happy’ with ‘passive’ Albanese after ‘direct and blunt attack’

Sky News host Danica De Giorgio reacts to the fact that Australia has “copped it” from US President Donald Trump once again.

“This is the first time we have gotten an insight into why the US President is frustrated with Australia when it comes to the Iran war,” Ms De Giorgio said.

“Sky News Washington Correspondent Johnathan Kersley had put the question to Trump about Australia increasing its defence spending to 3 per cent, short of the 5 per cent the US demanded.

“It was a direct and blunt attack.

“Trump is not happy with Australia because of our lack of support in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Australia is a passive ally, and Anthony Albanese has taken a back seat since the conflict began.”
