“Alpha 27” is a deeply personal narrative, rooted in my journey as an international filmmaker starting a new life abroad and my experiences navigating the complexities of bureaucracy. The story delves into the emotional journey of Diego, an interstellar immigrant who must face the challenges of forced separation from his partner due to circumstances beyond his control. The film critiques the dehumanizing aspects of bureaucratic systems that reduce individuals to mere numbers, ignoring the rich tapestry of their lives and relationships. At its core, Alpha 27 is a heartfelt exploration of identity, love, and belonging, an ode to the enduring power of love and the human capacity to adapt in the face of uncontrollable circumstances. As a filmmaker, this project embodies my passion for storytelling and my fascination with exploring the human condition in futuristic settings, blending poetic visuals with a poignant narrative.
