‘60,000 men invading’: Europe’s border crisis reaches breaking point
Spiked Chief Political Writer Brenan O’Neill says the mass crossing of tens of thousands of Moroccan men into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta exposes the growing failure of Europe’s border policies.
“Tens of thousands of young men from Morocco just poured across the border and basically just took over the town for a day or so,” Mr O’Neill told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.
“I’m seeing so much complacency on this.
“It’s not fine. When you have 60,000 men invading the sovereign territory of a foreign nation, that is a very big deal.
“There are really big questions to ask about how it happened, whether Morocco let it happen and what it says about the border crisis across Europe more broadly.”
