After a terrifying and deadly monster escapes from the SCP Foundation, Inspector Arlia interviews Doctor Daniels, the man responsible for containing the creature. At first Daniels uses the interview to critique and insult the powerful and mysterious 0-5 Council. However, as Arlia shares the horrifying details of the breach, Daniels becomes more and more fearful of the question everyone wants answered: how, exactly, did this happen?

🎬 Director’s Statement:
As a passionate fan of the SCP Foundation lore, I wanted to see this expansive, eerie universe treated with the dark and gritty cinematic weight it deserves, which is how 096 was born. Bringing this vision to life was a true community effort, funded 100% through Kickstarter where we raised just over $20,000.
This project marked my first foray into a larger-scale production, serving as an invaluable training exercise in balancing ambitious storytelling with heavy technical demands. To fully immerse myself in the mechanics of the craft, I wore multiple hats, acting as director, editor, and VFX artist. Navigating the intersection of live-action directing and intricate digital effects allowed me to grow immensely as a filmmaker, resulting in a tense, claustrophobic psychological horror that honors the community lore while pushing my own creative boundaries.
