Labor accused of ‘sacrificing’ agricultural land to get to ‘fantasy net zero target’

Liberal Senator Leah Blyth talks about the “fire risk” of transmission lines.

“Here we’ve got Labor going in with their transmission lines and their quest to get to net zero,” Ms Blyth told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

“They’re going to take away agricultural land from our famers in our food bowls to try and put these huge transmission lines through.

“There will be biosecurity risks that will come up as part of this.

“It seems almost impossible to believe that Labor is still on this path of net zero and we are going to sacrifice agricultural land to keep trying to get to this fantasy net zero target.”
