Expert analyses Donald Trump’s position on the US-Iran war as Iran urged to accept deal

Sky News political contributor Chris Uhlmann details the latest developments in the US-Iran war and how the US has traditionally struggled to convert overwhelming tactical force into long-term strategic victories.

“This is something we’ve seen over and over again, it is the inability of the US … to be able to turn overwhelming tactical force, into long-term strategic victories, and we’ve seen this played out since the Vietnam War,” Mr Uhlmann told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“If you kill off enough of them, what you end up with is no real leaders inside that country, and the people with the guns will be the ones making the decisions.”
