Queensland’s government’s oil refinery plans are ‘cheap talk’

KAP Leader and member for Traeger Robbie Katter outlined his support for the Queensland government’s proposal to build a new oil refinery in the state, but worries there will be no follow-through on the project.

This comes in response to the global fuel crisis that has seen petrol and diesel prices skyrocket around the nation.

“I see a lot of cheap talk out of the governments in Queensland,” Mr Katter told Sky News Australia.

“The talk is good, whether I believe they’ll follow through with this stuff.”
