Australia ‘not prepared’ for a global conflict due to ‘stagnant’ defence spending

The Samuel Griffith Society Executive Director Mia Schlicht claims Australia is not prepared for a global conflict.

“Australia has never been less prepared for a global conflict since World War II,” Ms Schlicht told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“We’re spending about two per cent of our GDP on defence, that’s remained stagnant since 2021, when we should be spending three per cent.”
