Marles claims the US never requested Australia’s help in the Strait of Hormuz

Defence Minister Richard Marles claims the US has not yet asked Australia for help in the Strait of Hormuz.

“In respect of the Strait of Hormuz, we do not have a request from the United States in respect of that,” Mr Marles said.

“There is a UK lead statement which we have signed.”
