Today will be the “most intense” of the US strikes on Iran, with “the most fighters, the most bombers, the most strikes,” said US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth.

He also says Iran has fired the fewest number of missiles in a 24-hour period since the war began.

Iranians in Tehran have described how they were left “in total darkness” following heavy strikes overnight.
