Trump administration revokes over 100,000 visas for individuals who clashed with law enforcement

The Trump administration has ruthlessly revoked over 100,000 foreign visas in 2025, doubling that of the Biden administration’s final year in 2024.

The revocation of visas follows US President Donald Trump’s day-one executive order on vetting foreign nations coming into the country.

According to Fox News, the majority of revoked visas were for business and tourist travellers who overstayed.

Up to 8,000 students and 2,500 specialised visas, however, were also revoked for individuals who had encounters with law enforcement.

The Department of State posted to social media to announce that individuals who clashed with law enforcement lost their legal status.

“The State Department has now revoked over 100,000 visas, including some 8,000 student visas and 2,500 specialised visas for individuals who had encounters with U.S. law enforcement for criminal activity,” the State Department wrote.
